In recent years, wireless network technologies have consistently achieved breakthroughs. Services and applications have also developed rapidly. More and more products have wireless communication capabilities. The value of related industries have reached new highs. Recently, a researcher from the American Naval Research Laboratory pointed out in a paper entitled “Review of Literature in Science and Technology: Wireless Local Area Networks” that between 2004 and mid-2005, Asia has progressively taken over the United States as the place worldwide where most research papers in wireless local area networks have been published. In the field of wireless local areas network, the National Sun Yat-sen University has published more papers in journals included in the SCI Index than any other university in the world. This shows that in the last two years research done at the National Sun Yat-sen University in areas related to wireless networks has received recognition and is taking a leading position. The Center’s research goal is to develop advanced technologies for application in areas related to wireless networks. Research areas include advanced radio frequency technology, system-on-a-chip wireless networks and integration of communications systems. Related research areas include the following sub-categories. |
